Finland’s Parliament approved yesterday a citizens’ initiative-inspired law change that recognises both women in same-sex partnerships as mothers from the moment their child is born.

One year ago on 1 March 2017 same-sex marriage became legal in Finland. Lesbian choir Kaupungin Naiset celebrated the new law by releasing a music video Mä haluun häät (I want wedding).

I think we have the right direction here. ❤️
